So, You’re Getting Married?!

After a decade of photographing weddings, when it came time for my fiancé and I to choose a photographer for our own wedding, we surprised ourselves with what mattered most.

Of course, we wanted to end up with lovely images to treasure for generations to come, but the thing that felt most important to us was finding the right personality match in a photographer.

Think about it, your photographer is with you for almost every moment of your wedding day, from getting ready in your pjs to breaking it down on the dance floor and everything in between. They are a constant presence and it is important to work with someone who can meet you where you are and bring the energy (or calm) you need throughout the day.

Come As You Are

My priority on your wedding day is your enjoyment. You probably spent so long planning this thing, let’s make sure you get to enjoy it!

Beautiful photographs become effortless when you and your partner are comfortable in the moment — not being nagged to “tilt your head to the left” or “point your toe toward me.” We’ll absolutely get some of the posed shots your mom wants on the mantle, but I am more interested in capturing the day as it unfolds. The way you look at each other when you don’t realize the camera is around.

The more “you” your wedding is, the better. I can meet you where you are. If that means touring up a mountain and skiing down on the morning of your wedding, great — I’ll pack my skis, skins, and camera backpack. If you want to end your ceremony with a boat getaway, I’ll wipe the seats down and shoot from the dock. If those things sound ridiculous to you and you want a quieter entry into married life, I’m here for that too. The point is: I mold my approach to your vision, not the other way around. I excel in documenting the real, unscripted moments that make your wedding day uniquely yours.

What You Can Expect From Me:

  • the ability to capture the raw feelings and emotions of a day

  • the emotional intelligence to know when to bring the hype and when to bring the calm

  • unbridled enthusiasm for you, your love, and the details of your wedding day

  • a truly gung-ho attitude

  • an unselfish approach (these are your real life moments — my job is to honor them, not orchestrate them)

  • heirloom quality photos that feel like you

Don’t just take my word for it:
